Seniors in Oklahoma public high schools are required to complete and submit a FAFSA in order to graduate. Completing the FAFSA will determine your eligibility for federal grants, work-study jobs, state financial aid programs, and certain scholarships. Regardless of income, completing the FAFSA can help all families.
THE FAFSA FOR FALL 2027IS NOW AVAILABLE!
Completing the FAFSA is the first step to receiving financial aid for college. Even if you think your family earns too much money to qualify for aid, you should still complete the FAFSA - nearly everyone who completes the FAFSA qualifies for some form of financial aid!
Note: Some federal aid is first-come, first-served.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO APPLY?
1. Create a StudentAid.gov Account.
A StudentAid.gov account serves as your secure login to access, submit, and sign your FAFSA. If you're a dependent student, your parent(s) will also need a StudentAid.gov account.
2. Gather Materials.
Collect all the required documentation needed to accurately complete your FAFSA form.
3. Fill It Out.
Apply online at FAFSA.gov. Send your FAFSA results to up to 20 campuses. Everyone contributing information to your FAFSA must consent to have their Federal Tax Information (FTI) transferred to the FAFSA through the IRS.
4. Sign & Submit.
Review your answers from the Summary page to search for errors. Read your FAFSA Confirmation page for information about the campuses you’ve selected.
5. View Your Results.
The FAFSA is now processed in real time, allowing students to see their Federal Pell Grant eligibility immediately after submitting their application. Students may also make any necessary corrections with zero waiting time.
