Seniors in Oklahoma public high schools are required to complete and submit a FAFSA in order to graduate. Completing the FAFSA will determine your eligibility for federal scholarships, grants, work-study jobs, and some state financial aid. Regardless of income, completing the FAFSA can help all families.
Completing the FAFSA is the first step to receiving financial aid for college. Even if you think your family earns too much money to qualify for aid, you should still complete the FAFSA - nearly everyone who completes the FAFSA qualifies for some form of financial aid!
Note: Some federal aid is first-come, first-served.
A StudentAid.gov account serves as your secure login to access, submit, and sign your FAFSA. If you're a dependent student, your parent(s) will also need a StudentAid.gov account.
Collect all the required documentation needed to accurately complete your FAFSA form.
Apply online at FAFSA.gov. Send your FAFSA results to up to 20 campuses. Everyone contributing information to your FAFSA must consent to have their Federal Tax Information (FTI) transferred to the FAFSA through the IRS.
Review your answers from the Summary page to search for errors. Read your FAFSA Confirmation page for information about the campuses you’ve selected and an estimate of your federal aid eligibility.
Watch your email for a FAFSA Submission Summary and provide any other documentation, as needed.
